Second Step Bullying Program
Second Step is available to both Macomb and St. Clair County Elementary Schools.

Second Step: A Violence Prevention Curriculum focuses on empathy, problem solving, impulse control, and anger management. It involves students, teachers, and the community to set up a caring environment and see beyond challenging behaviors. Second Step students indicated significant growth from pre- to posttest. After receiving the program, students display an increase in social- emotional knowledge and skills in the interview. The pre- and posttests are arranged by grade level, as well as the curriculum. Students are tracked for growth primarily using these assessments.
