Substance Abuse Prevention

FreeWay Project
The Free Way Projects is available to both Macomb and St. Clair County schools grades k-12.

The FreeWay Project is based on the theory that interpersonal problems in society have the same few common causes. This includes addiction problems, family problems, legal problems, school problems, work problems, and more are all associated with poor life skills. Instead of solving the surface issues, FreeWay goes below the surface to deal with the root causes. This program has been around for 20 or more years in public school classrooms, teaching 1.3 million students that this curriculum opens the door to a safe and drug- free life.
