Both of our Medical Centers provide comprehensive medical care for individual and family needs. We offer a full range of medical services including family practice and obstetrics. Our medical providers consist of medical doctors, nurse practitioners and nurse midwives. Learn more about them on our Providers page.

Medical Services Offered
Medical Services include: preventative care, diagnosing and treating acute illness and follow-up.



OB/GYN Obstetrical and Gynecological Services are provided at both sties. Dr. Fahey has privileges at St. Joseph's Mercy Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He is supported by Nurse Midwife, Joanne Mozuras, CNM in caring for patients at the New Haven Medical Center. Dr. Michael Priebe has privileges at St. John River District Hospital for patients at the Algonac Medical Center.





Well-Child Visits Well Child visits may be scheduled at the discretion of your provider. If you are a new patient please be sure to discuss this issue with your provider.





X-Ray Services Our Medical Offices provide routine x-ray services on site with digital x-ray technology. Based on the assessment of your provider, you may be referred to other facilities for more sophisticated radiographic studies.



Reproductive Health Specific concerns relative to Reproductive Health may be reviewed with your provider. Enrollment assistance in Plan First is also available.



Prescriptions Prescriptions and refills should be obtained during your office visit. Please give the name of your medicine, its strength, the frequency you take it, your pharmacy name and pharmacy phone number. Refill requests take 24-48 hours to process. Please do not wait until your current supply has run out.

Lab Services We perform several Lab tests on site and have specimen collection capabilities for a wide range of diagnostic panels. On occasion the complexity of the test or Insurance restrictions may require that specimen collection take place off site. We apologize for any inconvenience offsite specimen collection may cause.

Test Results:
We will contact you with the results of all tests within five days. If any tests are significantly abnormal, we will call you as soon as possible. If you have not heard from us in five days, please contact the office and our receptionist will forward your request and you will be contacted as soon as possible by medical staff.


Referrals Following the assessment of the patient appropriate referrals are made. Possible referrals include: Primary Medical Care, Vision, Dental, Medical Specialist, MI Works, Family Independence Agency, The County Health Department, Office of Economic Opportunity, and Action Centers.




Immunizations Immunizations are available for people of all ages. Downriver Community Services, Inc. follows immunization recommendations for each stage of life according to the Centers for Disease Control standards.
